Accessibility Criteria

AREOPAGITICUM is committed to adapting the content of the PHILOFAI.ORG website so that all people, regardless of disability, age, or access through unconventional technologies, can have universal access to all the content of this site without encountering difficulties.

To this end, the accessibility criteria imply compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0, at the double-A level, established by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium), an international association made up of different public and private organizations working together to develop standards aimed at promoting and disseminating best practices in web development.

Improvements Included

The visual characteristics of PHILOFAI (font type, font color, background color, etc.) are defined through the stylesheet so that the user can adjust the text according to their preferences.

Font sizes have been defined with relative units so that the user can increase or decrease the font size via browser options.

If a user accesses PHILOFAI.cloud with a browser that does not support stylesheets, this will not pose a difficulty, since all content can still be accessed with the stylesheet (CSS) disabled.

The pages have a clear structure, both for users who can see all content and for users who read the information with a screen reader or disable the stylesheet, etc. To this end, section headings, lists, and all elements that help the general understanding of the website have been defined using HTML code.

The HTML and CSS codes used conform to formal grammars to ensure correct display of content across different browsers.
